This cookbook is a creation of the Kent State College Writing 1 Class with Professor Sachs. Our class theme this semester was food. Throughout the course of the semester, we read the book Animal Vegetable Miracle, researched about food documentaries, and discovered how food ties into health, culture, economy, environment and connects us in a profound way to our planet. We began with the nutritional backgrounds of certain foods and even embarked on our own food investigations to become healthier students and human beings. Throughout the course and semester, food became much more to us than just what we put in our mouths. We started to investigate where our food comes from. This cookbook was made as part of our class final project, but it means so much more. It was designed with the intent to educate, fascinate and help you to discover food in a deeper realm. The collections of recipes in this book are some of our favorite family recipes and also some healthy recipes we enjoy. All sales will benefit The Campus Kitchen Project at Kent State University to help resolve hunger in our local community.
